Color-Changing Margaritas For Sunny Pool Party

INGREDIENTS: 2 c. sliced purple cabbage 4 c. boiling water 8 oz. tequila 4 oz. triple sec 3 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice 1 c. lemonade 4 lime wedges, for garnish 1/4 c. kosher salt or coarse sea salt, for rim

Step 1: Put the cabbage in a big, heat-resistant bowl. Cover the cabbage with boiling water, and leave it for five minutes, or until the water gets a deep blue color. After removing the cabbage, let the water cool.

DIRECTIONS:

Step 2: Transfer to ice trays as soon as the water is no longer hot. Freeze for 4 hours or until solid.

Step 3: Mix tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and lemonade in a medium pitcher or measuring cup. Lime wedges wet the rims of glasses, then dip them in salt.

Step 4: Fill glasses with purple ice cubes and split the margarita among them. Serve with a wedge of lime as a garnish.
